Applied behavior analysts in Michigan have less than a month to become licensed to treat people with autism, according to regulations announced Thursday by the state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
Under state law approved in 2016, LARA worked with the Michigan Board of Behavior Analysts and others to develop the license rules that were adopted earlier this year. Those who are not licensed by Jan. 7 may be in violation of the public health code, LARA said.
